Mr. Aspie Writer: Day Two on Solo Planet

Daddy in Denver; Day Two, didn’t go too badly.  I few unexpected phone calls and personal issues to deal with sent me for a loop for other than that  the kids behaved and we got through the day without any major catastrophes.  Buddy, on the other hand, almost caused a 16 car pile-up on the road because again he got out and took off.  I don’t know what is wrong with that dog the past few days, but he keeps charging off our street and into traffic!  This time it was me running down the center of the road along the yellow lines with traffic stopped on both sides trying to catch that stupid dog!

Two men and a young girl pulled their cars over, got out and attempted to help catch him.  None of us could.  After I was out of breath and ready to give up and let him run off, Buddy decided to dart back toward are street, shoot up the block and had the nerve to be waiting on my front porch pawing the door to get in when I got there! Unbelievable!

This is Mr. Aspie Writer’s update that was waiting in my inbox this morning–now he is just sucking up!  🙂

Captains log: Day two on Solo Planet

My wife is an amazing creature. Having been left alone with hardly any money ….with 3 mini terrorists in training and a dog with the disposition of a Mexican jumping bean (do those really exist?) She perseveres and carries on seemingly making progress…then of course the fates send her a combination of blows designed to put her again on the ropes.

I’ve seen people stagger and collapse from the things she’s had to deal with and faced. But she refuses to stop fighting and always comes back out of the corner swinging…fighting back…clawing ferociously at everything and everyone who tries to stand in her way. And through it all still tries to look out for her family. Fifteen years ago I didn’t know I was going to marry Wonder Woman.

Not that its been all sunshine and roses. Most of the time our life has been more grenades and land mines actually…us either fighting against each other….or most of the time fighting against this world which seems to be hell bent on destroying us…but its been worth it…. and every day my Wonder Woman amazes me more and more.
