22 Things a Woman with Asperger’s Wants Her Partner to Know—
The first book of Simone’s I read was Aspergirls.http://amzn.to/UU1pEh It was the book that really made me say, “Yes, this diagnosis fits—finally!” It all came together and finally made sense. Directly following my reading of Aspergirls: Empowering Females with Asperger’s Syndrome, I purchased 22 Things Woman with Asperger’sWant their Partners to know. At the time, my husband and I were just beginning to learn about Asperger’s Syndrome (AS) and he wanted to read all he could along with me. 22 Things…captured the picture of me perfectly. Finally, someone had put into words what I was never able to explain.
A video interview with author Rudy Simone.
This is another New Media: Writing and Publishing class assignment. This assignment required that I find a writing related video or author interview to embed into my blog post.
Keeping in line with my Aspie Writer’s focus, I have chosen to share a YouTube video interview of author and Aspergirl Rudy Simone, whose Facebook page I examined in a previous post.
Yesterday, August 9, 2012, was my 15th Wedding Anniversary. My husband agreed to write a blog post describing what it was/is like to live with someone for 15 years with undiagnosed AS. He wants to talk about the things that never made sense to him, but now do—and offer advice to other men who live with Aspergirls. His post, which is forthcoming, was inspired by Rudy’s book so I thought sharing her interview would be a perfect precursor. I hope you all enjoy it.
