On a Personal Note: Exciting Developments–Book Awards and Job Offers

finalist-shiny-webI’ve been MIA for a little while between getting larger by the day with this pregnancy, having no energy, and fending off the Tot it has been hard to carve out the time to get on here and write. For this morning, just a quick updated on the personal front.

I have had some exciting news and developments over the past couple of weeks.  First, I was recruited to write for answers.com as the Autism Category Expert Writer. My articles will begin to appear on answers.com shortly (meaning I had better stop being lazy and get to writing them).

You can visit my answers.com category page/profile etc. at www.autism.answers.com

I am extremely excited to be apart of the answers.com team now.

MORE EXCITING NEWS!

This morning I was informed that my book has been listed as a Finalist for this year’s Reader’s Favorites Book Awards!  Click the link to check out all of the 2013 finalists.  To find Twirling Naked in the Streets and No One Noticed scroll down to the Non-Fiction–Autobiography Category.  It is truly an honor to have made it this far in the book awards contest.

Even if I don’t make it any further (Winners will be announced on September 1st), it is still a great honor AND I will be invited to the awards ceremony for recognition in Miami this November!

Now that I have shared all the exciting news, I had better get back to work–you know actually writing!

  2. And congratulations with your book and everything, I forgot to say that.

  3. Just out of curiosity, does answers.com pay you per article you write or in some other way?
