Many people ask me if there are any tests for autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. There is not any one test that can diagnose autism. Diagnosis is a long and complicated process done by doctor’s, psychiatrists, or school psychologists who specialize in Autism. I cannot stress enough that if you are an ADULT who feels like you may be autistic, finding a professional who not only specializes in autism, but has experience in diagnosing adults on the spectrum (if it is a diagnosis is important to you) is essential.
That said, we all like to take quizzes don’t we? Little surveys, personality tests?? Why not take the Aspie Quiz by Rdos? Just for fun. And as promised (giveways all month) I am giving away an autographed book!
This is not meant to be a diagnostic tool, only a fun way to evaluate your own tendencies and see if you display any “Aspie Traits.” I think all of us, with or without Asperger’s, display some of these traits. (Take it even if you have a child on the spectrum, know someone on the spectrum, or just want to win a book! )
Share your Results and Win a Prize:
When your done with quiz, share your results with us (Aspie or not) and at the end of the week (Saturday) I will draw a name from the responses. The winner will receive an autographed copy of Twirling Naked in the Streets and No One Noticed.
Not only is April Autism Awareness Month, but it is Twirling’s… one year publishing anniversary, so stick with me all month. There will be more giveaways, promotional sales, and the exciting release of Twirling on Audiobook!

Too bad I didn’t discover your blog sooner but I still bought your book on Amazon for 99 cents today. 🙂
Thank you Alison, I hope you enjoy it! Hopefully, you will hang out with us here for a while 🙂
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it!
Apparently I enjoyed it quite a lot since I devoured your book within a 24-hour period. Thank you, I think I will stick around since I’m learning I might fit rather nicely here, being a “very likely Aspie” mom of two kids who also exhibit tendencies, too.

I didn’t find out until last year and I am 22. There needs to be more awareness.
Jaz, I agree with you! I was 38 when I was first diagnosed, and my oldest Aspie son was only diagnosed last year at 14. (I have three boys on the spectrum). Luckily the two younger ones were identified much earlier (9 and 3)…more awareness will definitely help children to receiver an earlier diagnosis.
