Parents of special needs children often express feelings of isolation, and need for interaction with others who understand. When there is a lack of support in the community, or in addition to that support many turn to online “friends” for support.
Feeling like someone truly understands, and knows what you are going through can help you get through even the toughest of days. Social media, blogs, stories, and books by others who have been through the same circumstances can provide incredible insights. Many of these authors, parents, educators, and autistics have Facebook pages that are a helpful source of insight and support.
Here are ten you make want to check out and “like.”
